About Card Grading

What the app does

Card Grading uses submitted card images to identify cards and estimate condition. Collectors can review centering, corners, edges, and surface before deciding whether to submit a physical card for professional grading. Image quality affects results. The app does not authenticate cards or issue official grading-company grades.

How our guides are written

Our guides explain practical inspection steps and link to official grading standards where specific requirements are discussed. They are published by the app developer, not presented as independent professional grading assessments. We distinguish hypothetical examples, schematic diagrams, and App Store screenshots from evidence about a particular physical card.

How the calculator works

The free calculator compares raw and graded sale proceeds using prices and costs entered by the collector. It uses the same selling-fee percentage in both scenarios and includes the submission costs entered. It does not fetch current grading fees, predict market prices, or forecast a grade. All formulas and a worked example are visible on the calculator page. Entered numbers stay in the browser.
